Focus T25/Les Mills Pump Hybrid:

This is the cream of your coffee, the pot’o’gold at the end of the rainbow. Beachbody has come out with some amazing programs that have changed so many lives since their debut in 1998. I have tried multiple at this point and found the perfect combination to keep it challenging, literally melt away stored fat, build gym quality muscle in no time flat and have fun doing it! The T25 Insanity / Les Mills Pump Hybrid.


By themselves, these workouts are already amazing but if you combine them, they become a powerhouse turning you into a force to be reckoned with. I have done the body building thing weighing almost 210 lbs. (still not having the six pack I always wanted but looked the part for sure). I found out quickly that once you stop working out, all the hard work you put into it goes away almost immediately! Frankly, that pissed me off. So, I started diving into calisthenics, using my own body weight as the resistance but the plateau effect was pretty much impossible to pass without guidance and I couldn’t afford a trainer. 


I stumbled across insanity back in 2012 and fell in love immediately! The workouts were challenging in just the way I was looking for and the sweat just poured like a faucet, which was my own way of knowing that I was doing something right. But I still wanted more! I started looking at all of the Beachbody options and found Les Mills Pump. PERFECT! I have no intention of weighing 210 lbs. again, especially since I have found so many recreational activities to be easier and more fun to do when you are at your natural weight, rock climbing being one of these. BUT, I am a fan of looking like I weigh 210 lbs. when in actuality I weigh (naturally) 170.


The Hybrid merger of T25 Insanity and Les Mills Pump has done this for me and will continue to do so, of this I have no doubt. The high intense cardio 3 days a week from T25 Insanity, combined with the low weight, high repetition, or REP EFFECT, training 3 days a week from Les Mills Pump, not only builds muscle crazy fast but it also trains the new muscle gained how to use itself and keeps you flexible and agile. There is also only one workout that lasts up to an hour long, the rest are 25 minutes (T25…Duh) to tops, 40 minutes. Making it really easy to schedule in and actually look forward to doing.  Thank you beachbody.

    Do you have a calendar to share? I actually just finished (for the upteenth time – Insanity Fri, took a break this weekend) and started T25 and Pump this am. Did both — starting with T for cardio warm up and them pump for lifting after. Can you share what you do?

    • The calendar is coming very soon. Sign up for my e-guide and you’ll get it first thing. I am going to post 2 of them, one that is based off the standard format and one for folks that have done this before (a.k.a. You and I), in order to pump up the challenge. By the way, who is your Beachbody coach?

        I have a coach (I have Crohns and shes a nutritionist and trainer so I’m a special case! LOL and as much as I love Shakeology, I cannot tolerate it :( Her name is Simona and shes also a business partner of mine)

        BUT I was looking for a hybrid of both programs so I googled it and you came up! Ill keep an eye out! TY!

  6. I am so freaking excited that I just found this website! I’ve done 3 full rounds of insanity and am just finishing a les mills pump/insanity hybrid. Focus T25/ Les Mills Pump hybrid is EXACTLY what I was looking for.

  7. Hey Danny. So glad I stumbled across your site. I’m in the uk and am going to start the hybrid on Monday. I haven’t received the 6 day guide yet though even though I’ve subscribed. Gonna be checking in on your site VERY OFTEN as I like your motivation ;)

      • Hey Danny. Because I’m in the UK we don’t have all the access yet to the team beachbody site. It’s very limited. I was lucky enough to get a copy of T25 via the site but had LMP deluxe sent over from a LOVELY TBB coach I found via a friend. She’s called Karla Reece. Bless her she had a nightmare shipping over that package with the step and weights but she did it! She also sends me Shakeology as we can’t yet get it here. I guess having more than 1 coach contact isn’t gonna hurt so I’d love to keep in touch with you also.

  9. Hi Danny and Audrey. I have been doing Les Mills Pump for a couple of weeks and recently purchased T25. My question to you is should I do your Hybrid schedule or should I do the T25 schedule first and then do the hybrid schedule? Also, I have purchased Beachbody programs before but never did their nutrition plan is it something that’s difficult to incorporate in my daily life? I did purchase the shakeology shakes and am hoping to incorporate them. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. I have about 40-50 pounds.

  12. have you built this out for beta and gamma yet? would love to see that.

    • I didn’t think there was any real need since the T25 beta and gamma phases already incorporate weights. However, I don’t think that it is as intense as it would be if it intermixed the les mills on the weight days. I can do a schedule with that in mind relatively quickly. Keep an eye out for it. What are you doing program wise? Do you have a coach? I would love to help if you are at all interested?
